Let's be real, because that's both our stylistic preference and personal preference, this is the section of the home page where I'm supposed to use flowery words to describe us and how we approach our work in order to draw you in and create a "vibe" between us that makes you want to keep scrolling. We're not interested in wasting your time so let's cut to the chase.

 

Here at Birch Production Co. we have a documentary approach to our photography and videography which means we strive to capture what's actually happening when it happens. Whether it be wedding photography and videography or a family portrait session we genuinely believe that those "in the moment photos" are the images you'll cherish the most. We want to create beautiful and artful imagery; we are intentional about finding good light and interesting composition for our images. We know that being in front of the camera can feel awkward and we guarantee that while working with us we'll approach all sessions and events in a way that feels comfortable and genuine. While our work is rooted in a documentary approach we know that some of those posed family shots are necessary (we know your mom needs her updated family photos for that stairway gallery wall). We will deliver a product that you will cherish for the rest of your life whether it's posed family photos, video clips where we've directed you into better light, or the wild and blurry images from the dance floor.

Lastly, we love film photography. Every session and wedding is shot on both digital and film. Carley's love of photography began during a black and white film course in college. Film captures things and tells stories in a way that digital can't and we want to share type of storytelling with our clients as well.
